Dexibell VIVO SX-8 Digital Piano Module
Descrizione
Back in the day, you could probably take a swim in the immense array of sound modules that were around, but these days, the same job is done by a stack of software. As such, it's actually refreshing to come across an old-school, straight-up desktop sample box like the Dexibell VIVO SX-8 module, and thankfully, while we used to count the quality of a sample in megabytes, here, it's counted in gigabytes. This surprising little box of tricks is so flexible and so extensive that, to be honest, there's a lot that many of the keyboards and digital pianos of today could learn from it.
Under the Hood of the Dexibell VIVO SX-8
3.2 gigabytes of sounds sit inside this module - and since it's a module, that's a lot. At the core, you get your bread-and-butter selection, which covers a vast array of different samples, including guitars, brass and wind instruments, organs, and the like. A pretty fat effects section is also provided, as well as space for more technical producers to load in extra samples, which essentially amounts to a kind of unending instrument that can be expanded and customised forever. In terms of controls, everything is simply laid out. The control panel isn't cluttered with too many buttons or controls and the large display screen grants access to a clear and logical menu structure, simply because that's all you need.
Who is the Dexibell VIVO SX-8 Built For?
This module has clearly been built for at least two groups, but it's actually designed for at least three. First of all, for any stage beast, this unit is a solid investment, and since the module weighs just two kilograms, it's literally tour-ready. Then, the sheer versatility that the module presents will definitely add something extra to any studio workflow, especially since we're talking way more than just the sound of a piano - we're talking strings, electric pianos, and then some. Then you have the third target group: digital pianists, since the VIVO can be set up to serve as a potent expansion pack for any more budget digital piano, and will definitely elevate the sound and quality of the instrument it's coupled with. If nothing else, this only underlines the flexibility of this retro-style sample module.
